This wild track runs for 1200km, from Cape Jervis on the Fleurieu Peninsula to Parachilna Gorge in the Flinders Ranges and is ideal seasoned hikers. You’ll see native bushland, coastal plains, red rock beaches, historic towns and vineyards, pine forests and river gorges.

If you have a couple of years, tackle the full trek or else there are about 60 shorter walks for hikers of all abilities to choose from.

When: The trail is usually closed during fire season (November to April) and reopens May to October.
