Known by locals as Straddie, North Stradbroke Island is a popular spot to camp. The island is a quick trip from Brisbane and it’s full of natural highlights such as north-facing, sunshine-all-day surf beaches, roaming kangaroos and spectacular coastal walks. If you prefer to be close to Point Lookout’s cafés, shops and restaurants, pitch your tent at Cylinder Beach or head away from the action to Adder Rock, sheltered by tea tree and pandanus forests.
